Ceremonial Drum Birthing

Birth your own beautiful drum in ceremony

Time & Location

13 Jul 2024, 10:00 – 18:00

Worcester, Worcester, UK

About the event

Is the drum calling you……?

You are invited to a ceremonial day of ancient crafting, deep connection and sacred space to birth your own drum.

The day is journey to the beginning of a truly special bond as the drum moves with you, guiding you through the day. The beat your medicine, a gateway to other realms. Weaving, stretching, gentle care and strength. Your ally, your friend, your teacher, your guide, your heartbeat.

Through creative expression, we can find healing and transformation in birthing new life.

Our hands, the extension of our journey so far, the energy we contribute to the natural rhythms of the universe. Our heartbeat, the drum of our ancestors that live on within us and our songs, the vibration of life itself.

The day will include:

Birthing a 16" drum

A choice of the hides/hoops available (usually horse/deer, oak, willow, ash etc)

Crafting a beater to accompany your drum

A special journey to meet the spirit of your drum

All materials are responsibly sourced and honoured throughout the process with blessings, care and intuitive prayers, with songs, herbs and listening to what the spirit of the drum is calling for.

We will be working from beginning to end with the full hides, rather than a ready-made kit, this does mean it is a longer day, but well worth it!

It is a beautiful day of birthing into being a drum and naturally, a part of yourself.

This workshop is intentionally kept small, limited spaces are available.
